چکیده
One of the newest developments within radiotherapy is integration Magnetic Resonance (MR) scanners and Megavoltage X-rays from linear accelerators into new MR-Linacs. Some MR-Linacs are able to perform gated treatments based on continuously acquired 2D MR images taken during dose delivery, which has potential reduce margins required for tumor coverage. We have developed a dosimetry system that can provide time-resolved, dose-per-pulse, without distorting in order characterize this technology. Dose verification of radiotherapy for lung cancer by using plastic scintillator dosimetry and a heterogeneous phantom
Bone, air passages, cavities, and lung are elements present in patients, but challenging to properly correct for in treatment planning dose calculations. Plastic scintillator detectors (PSDs) have proven to be well suited for dosimetry in non-reference conditions such as small fields. The objective of this study was to investigate the performance of a commercial treatment planning system (TPS) ...
متن کاملProton beam dosimetry: a comparison between a plastic scintillator, ionization chamber and Faraday cup.
In this study, a comparison was made between a plastic scintillator (BC400), a Faraday Cup (FC) and an ionization chamber (IC) used for routine proton dosimetry. Thin scintillators can be applied to proton dosimetry and consequently to proton therapy as relative dosimeters because of their water-equivalent nature, high energy-light conversion efficiency, low dimensions and good proportionality ...

Après une courte introduction sur l'historique des grandeurs physiques utilisées pour l'acquisition de l'équivalent de dose, les techniques diverses pour la dosimétrie dans des champs mixtes à haute énergie sont décrites, en commençant par des m...
متن کاملFast image scanning method in liquid-AFM without image distortion.
High speed imaging by atomic force microscopy (AFM) allows one to directly observe the dynamic behavior of a sample surface immersed in liquid media; thus, it has been considered to be an indispensable tool for nanobiotechnology and is used in many research fields, including molecular biology and surface science. For real-time observation of a certain behavior, the high speed imaging technique ...

An MR angiographic technique, referred to as 3D TRICKS (3D time-resolved imaging of contrast kinetics) has been developed. This technique combines and extends to 3D imaging several previously published elements. These elements include an increased sampling rate for lower spatial frequencies, temporal interpolation of k-space views, and zero-filling in the slice-encoding dimension. When appropri...
